GH and Turner's

Hello Laurie, I'd signed off over the weekend so appologize if this is now redundant. You said "While Turner's girls have measurably normal levels of IGF-1, their response to growth hormone is superb." What is "supberb"? My understanding is that the increment to final height attributed to GH is measured in centimeters, not even inches. GH requires injections and has some hazards. And if it's hard enough to get juvenile diabetics in a life and death situation to take their insulin how do you motivate your Turner's girls to take their GH? Allen.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
