87y/o stage IV vulvar caFrom: Hiromasa Sasaki (hiros@fmsrsa.fukui-med.ac.jp)Sun Jun 1 07:56:14 1997
Dear list members, I have a 87 y/o stage IVb vulvar cancer patient. She is doing well now without occasional scanty genital bleeding and hypertension. The tumor was on the left labia majora, and 5x2x2 cm in size. It was invaded to external urethral orifice and contralateral surface of labia majora. However, she can urinate by herself without complaints. Rectum and bladder were not involved. Left groin LNs and left external iliac LN were enlarged. No other distant metastasis could not be identified. Biopsy specimen from left labial tumor revealed squamous cell carcinoma. Mitotic figures were scattered here and there. Our radiologists recommended to me the palliative radiotherapy, using megavoltage X-ray and electron beam, half and half. What can I do for her? ---------------------------------- Hiromasa Sasaki, M.D. ---------------------------------- e_mail: hiros@fmsrsa.fukui-med.ac.jp -- ---------------------------------- Department of OB/GYN Fukui Medical School Hospital ----------------------------------

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
