Re: Jehowah witness medical careFrom: kathleen [tash] robb bodor (Tash.Robb-Bodor@worldnet.att.net)Mon Sep 30 13:00:53 1996
This refusal of the established allopathic community to treat clients if the do not abrogate their religious beleifs is a reason why so many of my home birth clients have been J.W.s. (Combine that with their opposition to Rhogam.) Surely there is one religiously observent MD in your community who would understand that these people feel that they would lose their imortality and share in the world to come by accepting blood products. Perhaps if the anesthesiologists would talk with the clergy involoved and track down relevent research on bloodless surgery then they could resolve their problem.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
