Re: 18 Week "Previa"From: R. Daniel Braun (rBraun@IUNET.IUPUI.EDU)Thu Sep 26 17:11:10 1996
It is my understanding that the position of the placenta changes because of differential growth of the uterus. Therefore, the segment of uterus making up the lower uterine segment early on in gestation can end up in the upper segment as the uterus grows. Robert Brenner MD Baltimore MD Robbrenner@earthlink.net I concur, but I take exception to the idea that it is attached on both sides of the cervix going across the cervical os, and then because of enlargement of the uterus is only attached on one side of the cervix. Think about it.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
