uterus adhesionFrom: Gordon M. Goldman (goldmang@medicine.wustl.edu)Tue Sep 24 22:50:02 1996
Had a startling discovery on L/S last week. 36 y/o WMF w/two C/S in past now has menorrhagia and enlarging myomatous uterus confirmed by serial U/S. H/S w/D&C shows capacious cavity w/o extrinsic impingement from multiple myomata (sounds to 14cm.). Disordered prolif. E/M on path. On L/S, the large uterus is firmly adeherent to the anterior abdominal wall with dense adhesions. Can't identify any structures in anterior space. Will try to treat menorrhagia medically, but if pain and further growth continue, what advice can listers offer to keep out of trouble at TAH? Gordon

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
