I want to know what would the list do with this patient. She is 25 years old; in her first pregnancy she developed a molar pregnancy, which was diagnodes at 8th weeks by ultrasound (Sub Unit beta was at that time 27.000 U). A D&C was performed. The pathologist said it was a complete mola with a tetraploid pattern. Three weeks later she has 680 U of sub unit beta of HCG. Seven weeks after the D&C the sub unit Beta was 988 U. What do you think is the best way of screening for her? Do you think the ultrasound (besides of couse of a chest Rx, etc.) would be of any use here. Is there any place for a second D&C; Is there anybody giving methotrexate before the 12 weeks without negativization of sub U B HCG? Thank you Alicia Lapidus Buenos Aires Argentina

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
