I am aware of many people who have or have developed allergies to Nonoxynol-9, the spermicide used in many lubricants and contraceptive foams/jellies. If she is using spermicide, you may want to suggest either a different method of contraception or a different spermicide and see if that helps. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
