Any comments/suggestions for the following situation: A now pregnant (20 weeks) woman describes burning with intercourse, most of the time, both during pregnancy and between pregnancies. No apparent precipitating factors. No UTI's, no infections, and mainly it's just with intercourse, and no different when not pregnant. Another OB sent her to a urologist, with which she had an uncomfortable exam and of course, no UTI. Would this classify as Vulvodynia? Perhaps lactobacillus overgrowth? Presently we've suggested more lubrication and perhaps some estrogen cream when she's not pregnant. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
