Attention >turned to right side, Round ligament easily identified. NO TUBE ?? Incision
>enlarged, adnexal area easily visualized No adhesions. Total absence of
>any evidence of tube or ovary on this side.

I had a case where I found the right adnexa in the right upper quadrant completely isolated from the other pelvic organs when I was doing a diagnostic larparoscopy. I'm sure the adnexa would never have been found through a small subumbilical incision. I believe I saw an article on ectopic adnexa but I can't remember the reference.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
