I should have also noted that my discussion with the patient would include this data and also the fact that she -could- have a classical scar, though this would be unlikely (mexico is not as full of quacks as we sometimes would like to believe). If she desired a TOL after counseling I would clearly (obviously for medico-legal reasons [trial lawyers reading this list ESAD]) document that discussion and her decision. Should she desire a repeat I would not hesitate to do that either. FWIW.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
