Re: On becoming an OB/GYNFrom: Jeff Dick (gmsinfo@global-medicalsearch.com)Thu Aug 29 10:17:17 1996
At 03:41 PM 8/28/96 -0500, you wrote: >The young student with aspirations of becoming an ob/gyn might want to >consider a sex change operation >ronhelm@ronhelm.seanet.com FYI In the "professional" recruitment business it is suicidal to even infer as to a candidates sex, age, race etc. Is it allowed? NO. Although it is quite acceptable to discriminate in regard to a candidates training, i.e. AMT vs. FMG or even MD vs. DO, all other forms are strictly prohibited. So, as the beat goes on for the almighty referral advantage, which not only plagues OBGs, nor is it restricted to the issue of sex, dont be too upset to see more of it. Thanks to Geoff for maintaining this fine list. As a result we were able to assist "Bucky the Anesthesiologist" and his hospital in Colorado hire the general surgeon they were looking for. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Jeff P.S. Dr. Joe, youre the best as well as "THE MAN". You must be a Henny Youngman fan!!! Jeffrey R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
