Re: "Natural" estrogens/progestinsFrom: DoctorJoe@aol.comTue Aug 27 08:32:47 1996
<<Why do we think that something which grows in a plant and has a whole bunch of imprurities in it is better (just because we got it out of a plant) than the pure substance that we are after just because it is manufactured in a chemical laboratory ????? I just don't understand.>> You lack understanding, Grasshopper? Then stand up against the wall and let some of the other monks throw spears at you... well, that's entirely the point. A lot of the "fascination" for "natural" stuff doesn't really make any sense. I think it harkens back to the Swinging Sixties, where science was looked down up (because remember physicists made "the bomb", so we blew up physics departments, etc, etc.) Joe P. (Ex-physicist - now people want to hang me out to dry because I'm a doctor!)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
