A case of vulvar painFrom: Patrick S. Pevoto (pspevoto@mail.utexas.edu)Tue Aug 27 07:16:19 1996
I have a patient who is 24yo complaining of 2 to 3 days of vulvar (actually labial pain) for 2 to 3 days, whether with intercourse or foreplay only. She has no history of HSV or other STD, and all lab in that regard has been negative. Her physical exam is normal. The description she renders is almost analogous to a male having priapism. Has anyone had a patient with similar complaints? Any ideas as to therapy? Patrick

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
