I heard a story similar to this, however in this one the father had to go into a communal room above the delivery room along with the other waiting fathers.

A small hole in the ceiling of the delivery room carried a rope up to the paternity room, which received many other ropes from below. One end of the line was tied to the respective fathers testicles and with each contraction, the mother below would tug on the rope with great vigour, sharing the birthing 'experience'!!

Epidurals all round, I say!

Best wishes,

Danny.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
