Re: "Natural" estrogens/progestinsFrom: Denise Sobel (dsobel@crl.com)Mon Aug 26 18:26:22 1996
No, I have not seen this in person. I have read about it in magazines, and of course, on the internet. I have also seen specials on televison. The only way to get this urine from the mares is to keep them hooked up 24 hours a day to collecting devices. They can't move around much in the stall, or they will be able to dislodge the devices. And, keeping their water content to a minimum is obvious...as this easily concentrates the estrogens. Is there some reason that Premarin is the only synthetic estrogen that doctors feel they should order? Denise, R.N. dsobel@crl.com On Mon, 26 Aug 1996, R. Daniel Braun wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
