Occasionally, if one is considered a significant asset by the hospital, a rider can be obtained on the hospital's carrier at a lower cost. Such a compromise was obtained for a "key man" who happened to be chief of staff at a local institution and suddenly appeared to become uninsurable when a second spurious suit was filed in a six month period. Neither suit came to anything and he is again insurable, but the company who ran for the hills doesn't write any business here anymore.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
