Natural HRT vs Synthetics

Could someone comment on why synthetic estrogen and progesterone supplementation is effective yet natural progesterone is considered ineffective or a placebo? I do not feel **enough** research has been done in this area to discount the possibility that natural hormone replacement therapy works for some women. Whether or not this is a placebo effect remains to be seen.

Also, what is the cost in your area for Lupron. What sorts of side effects do you see?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
