If all conservative measures have failed ( as you so indicated) and the patients Sx. are truly manifestations of PMS, my experience would suggest that the result of the BSO would be very positive improvement. It sounds radical, but if nothing else helps, surgery may be the answer. Unfortunately, in the managed care setting, I would guess that approval will not be forthcoming!! JGB

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
