I am a few days behind with my mail but I couldn't help contributing my experiences of scar dehiscence: a couple of decelerations followed by a bradycardia early in labour in both cases. One case was an augmented labour; one spontaneous. There was no pain at the time of the rupture. Time to delivery must be crucial in this situation....... as a result my feeling too is that continuous CTG monitoring is absolutely essential whether labour is spontaneous or augmented V.L. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
