Re: PROM at 25 weeksFrom: MBK80@aol.comWed Aug 14 16:40:11 1996
would like the groups response to the following two issues 1- prom with a positive vag/cervical or urine culture for beta strep. Lets assume our patient is 38 weeks and wants expectant management until the onset of labor as many of our patients request. Who is treating with oral antibiotics??? or is everyone inducing these people at 12 or 24 hours and starting iv ampicillin per ACOG protocol 2- prom at 30 weeks. Is everyone using weekly steroids or just one course? Jay Kulkin,MD Atlanta, Ga.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
