This could be one for the lawyers "on the list." Your friend has no choice. Pay it or go uncovered. My partners were sued and WON. Their premiums doubled. They were in no way, shape, or form at fault. It was PROVEN in a court of "law." The insurance company's rationale? It took a lot to defend (successfully) the case and therefore their premiums are being doubled. Makes a lot of sense to me!

Grumble.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
