Re: NST Equivalent?From: <csitya@smnet.com.br>@femax.smnet.com.brSat Aug 10 11:57:36 1996
I agree with about that in diabetics pregnancies we may fail in the fetal surveillance, and I think that it occure because the fact that others mehanisms influence the pour outcome, and not occure a vascular placental insuficiency. This is the same that occure with the use of doppler in this patients, it may fail in the progonostics, because don't have a vascular obstrutive placental insuficiency. About the use of simple observation of two fetal heart hate acceleration without complete the NST, I think that we have to consider the pathology in question, and in the high risk pregnancies it is ideal associate at least the amniotic indice of Phelan, to be more tranquil. If my english is poor I bag your pardon! Cláudio Sityá Federal University of Santa Maria RS - Brasil csitya@smnet.com.br

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
