<<The problem with the popular TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms, not to be confused with Three Letter Agencies) is that there are only 26 x 26 x 26 of them. We are running out.>> Of course, some have already been doubled up. For example, talk about SLE, and it will make a difference whether you're talking to a rheumatologist (Systemic Lupus Erythematosis) or an infectious disease guy (St. Louis Encephalitis). But is it N = (26 X 26 X 26), or is it N = (26!)? I've forgotten all of that math stuff. Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
