Classical Intrafacial Supracervical Hysterectomy. Used to be called CASH or Classical Abdominal Supracervical Hysterctomy, but think that had some other connotations to it!!!!!!!!!! Originated via laparoscopic methods by Kurt Semm, Kiel, Germany. A lot of the instrumentation is named after him, like the Calibrated Uterine Resection Tool (get it? CURT!!). Yea, he's on an ego trip, but also has some valid techniques worth considering.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
