Geff, Nice zebra! You're barking up the right trees. Malaria would concern me (especially with dropping hct.) but probably not present. Low wbc with recurrent fever (actual pattern can be pathognomic) suspect for tick fever, but two weeks is kind of long. Don't forget EBV. If taking any foreign substance with regularity (even folk remedies), could be drug fever. Possibility of early window hepatitis cause of any kind well aluded to already. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
