boston trialFrom: Charlie Chambers (cchamber@IC.Owatonna.MN.US)Wed Oct 25 07:35:57 1995
Reading over the Boston trial on "active management", the results to me seem somewhat tainted by the fact that both arms of the study had a cesarean section rate of nearly 20%. Being that this only included primigravidas seems especially disconcerting. I know the argument will be that their center is a high risk tertiary care center, but 1 out of 5 primigravidas with a cesearean seems especially aggressive, active management or not.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
