C/S for this breech?From: Dr Eberhard W Lisse (el@lisse.NA)Sun Oct 22 18:31:56 1995
Hi, I saw a G2P1 34 weeks to dates, fundal height and Ultrasound last Thursday. I had discharged her on Monday after two days worth of Nifidepine and Betamethasone for premature contractions which responded very well. On examination: single breech, 4-5 cm dilated, membranes intact. Regular contractions of 3 in 10 minutes for 30 seconds. Given that I am the resident Medical Officer of a small district hospital 300 miles away from the referral hospital I did a C/S. 2100g male (Apgars 9/10 10/10 10/10). What mode of delivery would others have chosen? el

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
