As noted elsewhere, an unexplained elevated MSAFP has been associated will an increase in fetal demise. At our hospital we begin antepartum fetal surveillance at 32wks. This consists of semi-weekly NST's and a weekly AFI. We will also repeat a growth scan approx every 4 wks. I to would be interested in knowing of any data that has been collected on an association between elevated MSAFP and the above conditions.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
