I'm afraid that's the problem. el's nebulous barbs notwithstanding, we don't WANT the rest of the world's medical system.

I still maintain the U.S. system was fine UNTIL the government started screwing with it. Even the THREAT of screwing with it (remember Hillary care?) causes the companies to go nuts and screw up things.

Since Medicare/Medicaid began to influence third-party payors -- and also patients, who see what it's like to get "everything free" -- the system has been going crazy. I'm not exactly sure how to fix that, but that's the problem, and it won't be fixed by throwing MORE government into it.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
