Re: Health CareFrom: Charles Bloom (cdsb@bellsouth.net)Fri Jul 31 07:38:09 2009
Terry, You've been a salaried sonographer in our current system. And if your employer decided to cut your salary by 50%, you'd be free to market your skill and attain the same or better salary elsewhere. But what if, under a government run system, the government decided that ALL sonographers should be paid half of their current salary? How would you feel about that? > I disagree. I have been a salaried sonographer for over 35 years, and I am no slave. Do you consider your staff as slaves? Or do they do piece work in the good old capitalistic tradition? No one wants to shackle anyone; but your polemical rhetoric is good. Do you write for a corporate lobby? I thought we all got into medicine to make things better, at least I did. Peace, Terry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
