This is all about bringing about the end of capitalism and opening the gates of socialism. Gerald P. RodrÃguez, M.D., FACOG Santa Fe
> ----- Original Message ----- Just got a Sermo e-mail about the Sermo CEO's talk with Howard Dean (Dean an FP by training I think -- probably didn't make much money, judging from his less-than-magnetic personality): ----- Former governor of Vermont and DNC Chairman, Howard Dean closed our recent debate on CNBC by saying: âAll physicians should be on salary.â That should come as no surprise. Howard Dean has been a key spokesperson for the current version of the healthcare reform bill. Dean has specifically advocated for a âpublic option,â stating that healthcare reform without it is ânot worth doing.â His comments have set off a debate among policy-makers. Can there be successful, affordable healthcare reform without altering the means by which physicians are compensated? Should all physicians be salaried? The media has asked the Sermo community to weigh in. Sincerely, Daniel Palestrant, MD CEO & Founder, Sermo ------ Interesting, to say the least. Guess the good old days of getting paid in chickens or eggs or corn (or down here, shrimp) are verboten as well. Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
