NOPE - pay for procedures is really not that great - not for the risk taken with the work. I have a friend who has been a urologist almost as long as I have been an ObGyn. He also plays bagpipes. He gets MORE for an evening gig playing bagpipes than for some basic urologic procedures. And they give him free food and drinks - and there is no malpractice. JB

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
