Thanks Art, interesting article on cancer deaths in Britain. The reality of our situation is that the resources available for health care are not unlimited. Someone will have to decide what is more important...Spending $50,000 on breast cancer diagnosis and treatment on each woman over 75 or spending the same amount of money on immunizations, mams and paps, cholesterol screens etc on younger population. Who decides now?? The insurance company. Who will decide in the future? The Government. Hopefully the Government will decide to allocate resources based on societal need and not insurance company profits.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
