My thanks to all who offered their thoughts.   Probably most listers are familiar with the current ACOG Committee Opinion, published in this past February's issue, which reiterates many of the comments made.   I think the concerns re vicarious liability are definitely valid, and not paranoia...or..perhaps paranoia is the operative valid mindset we should all be tuned into each day, haha...(got to laugh, or I'd lose my mind thinking about the system!)   Hank

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
