Yes. After 34 weeks, they don't increases lung maturity much. However they do decrease the incidence of IVH. In fact today with the advances the neonatologists have made in treating HMD, they can do as well without steroids as with. The big thing steroids do (that neonatologists can't) is to prevent IVH
