Funny, how certain words and phrases become "pet peeves" for doctors. Here's the list of words/phrases from residency that was sure to attract attention.

1. Irregardless 2. Inflammable vs. flammable. 3. Bi-weekly 4. Incidental 5. Failed vs. unsuccessful 6. Fetal distress vs. Nonreassuring 7. Seized vs. convulsed.

The list goes on.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
