anybody want to spend some time working in TahoeFrom: Kelly Shanahan (tahoekelly@hotmail.com)Thu May 22 18:40:41 2008
Long time no see, my obgyn.net friends, but I have been busy with my practice and with my 9 year old daughter. Unfortunately, I am being forced to take some time off, so you may see me posting here occasionally. My forced LOA is due to the fact that I have been diagnosed with stage IIB invasive ductal breast cancer. I am now alomst 3 weeks out from bilat mastectomy w/ a right axillary dissection -- 1/20 postive nodes, so I start chemo (adriamycin/cytoxan x 4 cycles followed by Taxol x 4 cycles) on 6/5, hence the subject line. Rigth now I can't lift my right arm at all -- so can't do OB or surgery; PT should help me get my ROM back in a reasonable time. My oncologists have recommended that I do not take call durng the chemo, so I'm looking for someone to either 1) function as a locum and just take some of my call-- maybe 2 weekends/month, maybe help in the office on those post-chemo Mondays or 2) is looking for a part-time job and eventual partnership in a successful practice in a beautiful setting. If you or someone you know (needs a California license, as that is where the hospital is) is interested, let me know.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
