Re: Are there programs just for electronic prescribing? From: Ronald Ainsworth (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Wed May 14 16:57:52 2008
I use Allscripts. Check out erxnow.allscripts.com. There is no costs to the provider. Simple to use. The biggest problem I have is that some pharmacies send requests on the FAX and on the computer, others send requests only by FAX - which kind of defeats the purpose of e-prescribing. Another drawback is that you cannot send scheduled drugs by E-Rx, they have to be written or faxed. They can be sent via Allscripts for refills. Ron --- GIN11153@aol.com wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
