Amniotomy probably O.K. internal electrode probably O.K. prostaglandin, needs a consult from ob fetal fibronectin, heck yeah, waste of money IMHO should need a consult for oxytocin induction/augmentation; sure can follow labor but Ob may deciede to follow also. It never ceases to ammaze me how midwives and family docs consider oxytocin use a begnign procedure, its use is defintely not without significant risk, the person who may have to do an emergency c-section/ operative delievery should be aware and available.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
