Re: Insurers Begin To Reimburse for Online Visits, Concerns RemainFrom: Meenan, Anna (annam@uic.edu)Tue Feb 5 15:27:41 2008
I don't normally watch House, because i object to the impression they give our patients (that obnoxious drug addicts who commit fraud to get their drugs are allowed to continue practicing in hospitals if they are good diagnosticians), but I had to watch that one after they hyped it all through the Super Bowl. I wondered why a facility that had the capability to run a chem screen did not have dipsticks to run a dip U/A, why they allowed a guy with asthma that might need prednisone to work there at all, and what they used to slice up and fix the lymph node biopsy before they stained it. And have any of you EVER seen a toe fx throw that many fat emboli? I haven't. Anna Meenan, MD, FAAFP

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
