PPH with inversion of uterus and trapped bowel loop in IndiaFrom: emilio porro (sanbonav@hotmail.com)Sun Feb 3 11:37:29 2008
If correct You are e-mailing from India(drseshasai@yahoo.co.in) and probably this woman’s birth was at home.In such conditions in my opinion the only think to do was if possible to explore with a sterile gauze mounted on a plier with rings from a doctor o a midwife the vagina ,the uterine cervix and the uterine cavity thus removing residual placental membranes and pushing up uterine fundus avoiding uterine inversion. In a hospital You can do an abdominal pelvic ecography to see uterus and its content (It happened to me to see placental succenturiate cotyledon with post partum continuous bleeding two months ago)Hope this helps.Yours faithfully

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
