Laparoscopic chickenFrom: rmodugno@aol.comWed Jan 30 11:58:41 2008
39 year old with 5 previous c/s. Had a bladder entry with repair during one of them. One year ago had laparoscopic right oophorectomy and adhesiolysis. Op report - "extensive adhesions" ? Complains of menemetrorhagia, deep dyspareunia and worsening dysmenorrhea. ? Pelvic exam: normal size mobile anteverted uterus - tender.Reproduces pain with coitus. ? Ultrasound: normal uterus and 2cm simple left ovarian cyst. ? Patient considering hysterectomy. (See subject line above). I would do a scalpel-guided total abdominal hysterectomy with left salpingo-oophorectomy. Would any of the brave ( Glazerman? Chudacoff?)? consider? a laparoscopic approach. ? Any thoughts? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
