I think the 88174 is if you are the one DOING / READING the pap. I think your billing system will only let you use up to three diagnostic codes for a single CPT billing visit. So you can add all the CPTs for all the counseling you did - but it won't change your reimbursements (I am pretty sure of that one) Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
