Andrew,
Bob Carpenter if he is still doing MFM since he got his JD. Also, Brian
Kirshon took care of the woman with octuplets about 7 years ago in Houston.

Calling all Hands
Just received a call from friend (non physician) in Houston. Coulple lated
20s at his chruch with infertility. Got the "shots" etc now of course they
have 5 in utero embryos ALL with good heart beats at about 12 weeks.
needless to say recommendation from specialists etc is for "embryo
reduction". Intellectually they understand it is the "right" thing to do;
emotionally they just can not do it. Someone on the list was from Houston
(I thought it Richard??) Who do I refer them to in terms of MFM specialist
High risk hospital to call etc. Other ideas??? thanks andrew

In this case, it would be a postop visit and covered in your surgical fee.

A 75 yr old lady, postop day number 4 from a TAH/BSO and nodes for

happen to be close to the ER and I go ahead and see her rather than the ER

I would venture to say that I did an expanded problem focused HPI and exam
and had straight forward medical decision making.
Is the E/M code for seeing someone in the ER that of observation or is there
another that I've missed? Or is this visit somehow tied up in the global
package?
Thanks,
Glen
