Anna

I did not mean to offend.

I was not saying "all primary care providers" - I was not implying any one on this list practiced that way. I was relating the fact that in this corner of NH there is one huge group for primary care and they are all pushed and pushed for 10 minute visits - with an emphasis on being able to do same day appointments (the insurance companies like the practice guaranteeing same day service for call ins - part of their pay-4-performance measures) - so the patients uniformly complain that they can't schedule ahead - and so when the call in and are seen for the same day service they just get anyone in that "grouping" of docs and physician extenders (PA or ARNP) - and only rarely get to see the person who is listed as their PCP.

I am from the midwest before coming here to NH.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
