If I cannot rotate with my hand I will use kjellands...I have done a scanzoni once years ago...I remember it was relatively easy...but it is so long ago...and must admit it scares me the thought of swinging these handles out towards the knees and round...I always visualise that I am swinging the head in a great huge circle rather that merely rotating it... but it is nice to not change forceps at the end..though I have a colleague who always used kjellands for any forcep delivery!!!!!!!go figure. tips and reminders please.re scanzoni method. frances wren MD FRCS

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
