Hysteroscopic myomectomyFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@gmail.com)Wed Nov 28 19:55:26 2007
when doing H/S myomectomy, The shards or strips of myoma get in the way. I have had a variety of techniques I have come up with to get them out as I shave away at the myoma. But it always comes down to eventually there are too many shards in there to keep working. This is particularly frustrating. I would bet some of you folks on this list have some personal techniques that help clean out the uterine cavity and keep working. I'd love to hear what others have come up with - I have been disappointed even at "advanced & operative H/S" workshops when I ask these questions and get no helpful pearls. Once I used the uterine evacuation suction machine ... but didnt' use it last week and think it might have been a good option.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
