Mentioned devices are for just recording. They are not a medical image-video-audio system.

Please find below a few examples which explain the drawbacks of these devices:

With mentioned devices:

Can you record your patient's informations? (Addresses, diagnosis, etc.)= No

Can you search for a patient?=No

Can you access all informations and videos in a network?=No

Can you prepare dynamic reports for your patients?=No

Can you edit your videos (cut, copy etc)=No

Can you edit your captures images?=No

Can you add logo or name of patients and physician on videos?=No

Can you encrypt or decrypt your images, audios and videos?=No

Can you also view DICOM images and manage them?=No

Can you report images and e-mail them automatically?=No

Can you stream your procedures to network or internet (One in network can watch your procedures spontaneously)?=No

These are a few examples. You can find more than these in MediCap.

But if you want to pay 100 $ only for video recording, these devices are suitable.

Dear Physicians,

I am an obstetrician. I recommend to you use MediCap. It is complete video-audio-image capture software for medical professionals.

MediCap is a fantastic video capture and edit software designed for medical professionals. With MediCap you can digitally capture images and videos directly onto a computer hard drive or a network location from any external video source (endoscopic video camera, ultrasound & echocardiography or microscope camera, high definition cameras etc.)

MediCap can also edit captured videos (like Microsoft Movie Maker) and images (like Photoshop) and export them to PDF file for printing and e-mail. It also has a dynamic report unit for reporting your patient's informations and images.

You can directly dictate your operation notes or patient's notes to MediCap.

MediCap has a CD-DVD writing unit to write images-videos and audios to CD-DVD disc including Blu-ray and HD-DVD.

MediCap has a DICOM unit which is much more than a DICOM viewer. It can get DICOM informations automatically from DICOM files and can make a new record based on these informations. In other words, MediCap is a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

The MediCap saves the images-videos by patient identity for later review, reporting, e-mailing or printing. The MediCap also gives you the ability to annotate your images with text, lines, shapes and much more.

MediCap can be controlled by Joysticks-Gamepad (wireless) or Foot Pedal. You don't have to be near the computer and use your hands during video and/or image capturing.

MediCap has capable of working in a network (suitable for hospitals or medical centers)

MediCap can encrypt and decrypt your images, videos, audios and reports. No one can view them without your permission.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
