Why do it sometimes and not the other? Why not doing it prophylactically for everyone? Just because you don't express the uterus, it does not always mean it not being done. Every so often when I work with a new nurse, she would thank me for doing "her job" when I expressed the uterus after a Cesarean section. Allan

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
