Well, I think we've talked about this before. But:

If not for

1) lying doctors,

2) greedy insurance companies, or

3) sleazy lawyers,

the system would work JUST FINE.

P.S. It goes without saying (and that's why I don't say it) that the system is capable of addressing abuse. It's just work-intensive, usually vigorously stonewalled by the three entities listed in the law itself, and disheartening to the victims of the abuse to the extent they often refuse or fail to fight.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
